Google Adsense Tips Using Blogs

Author: prince // Category:

Many bloggers are removing the adsense from their blogs but really don’t underestimate the power of Google Adsense. Is true that you can monetize your blog with many affiliate/contextual advertising opportunities out there, but why not adding Google Adsense in your list?. Here are some tips on adsense in your blogs.

  • Let me put this in Bold: UNIQUE CONTENT IS THE KEY TO SUCCEED, that’s right this is the first tip and I know many already read about it but the difference that they do not apply it. Create unique content for your blog and you will see an increase earning from your adsense and well ranked in search engines.
  • Do not create blogs just to make money from adsense. This is what almost new bloggers and adsensers do, they create a new blog add few articles (2-3) and then add their adsense code and let it run.
  • One Blog: Create one blog and put all your efforts in this blog, make your blog an authority in your niche and then if you want to create another blog you are free to do it but apply the same effort and don’t make your authority blog to die.
  • High Paying Keywords: I read many times that someone is searching for a list of high paying keywords, that will not work with Google Adsense, you will make more money if you are an authority site, then if you compete with high competitive keywords (which are the high paying keywords) you will have less chances to succeed. Unless you want to wait and build an authority site.
  • Remove all adsense from the sidebars and replaced them all with large adblocks within the content. Here is a piece of code to make it possible: < . div style="float: left; margin: 5px;" .> Your Adsense Code here < . /div .> (Remove the dots). This piece of code make your adsense look on the left side within the content.
  • Long time ago, I read a research study that the first part of the site that a user check is the left side, so add your ads in the left side of the content (that’s why I gave you the div code to the left side).
  • The higher the chance of conversion (based on page content) the higher the CPC and ECPM. (A Google rep. said this)
  • Google Rep. then went on to say a webpage on cameras will earn less per click than a page on camera reviews. I felt she kinda give too much away with that example but hey it makes sense, a person looking for reviews is more likely looking to purchase.
  • The stronger the indication that the user is looking to take an action, the higher the cpc. Let’s make it clear the main important thing to Google is that your Google adsense ads in your site convert into a sale or lead (action). That’s why advertisers are paying for the ad no?
  • Never underestimate the power of adblocks
  • You do need to be careful that the quality of clicks doesn’t get lowered by ad placement (from more accidental, or mistaken/misunderstanding clicks) and thus get you smart priced
  • More links that your article has, less pay per click you will earn. This have been tested many times, and test it yourself. Add two similar articles, one with many liks (to other sites) and one with few (1-2) and you will see the difference.
  • Test the following configurations in your adsense about displaying: Just Text Ads, Just Image Ads and Both Text and Image. Depends on your blog niche sometimes will work better using text ads only (test each configuration for 2 weeks, with the same traffic).
  • Plugins: There are many plugins for wordpress blogs. Try to search in Google: google adsense wordpress plugins. But you can also add it manually using the div code that I gave it above. Go to single.php and before the …content.. loop post the div and your adsense code. This will show only when someone click on the article and read it alone. What is good using the plugin that you can control much more the placement of your Google Adsense blocks.
  • Test, Test & Test, this is my last important tip. Test your adsense blocks positions, size, colors and judge yourself. With your blog niche may be it can work in the footer, at the right side of your content, anywhere! But you have to keep testing and see some results.
