FrontPage bookmarks, also called target links, take users directly to a section on a Web page. Use these links to help users navigate your site or direct them to a specific reference. These instructions use Microsoft FrontPage 98.
Step2 Choose Show FrontPage Editor from the Tools menu, or click on the FrontPage Editor icon on the toolbar.
Step3 Open the page you want and place the cursor right before the text or graphic you want to use as a bookmark (the place where the link will take the viewer).
Step4 Choose Bookmark from the Edit menu.
Step5 Type the name of the bookmark in the dialog box and choose OK. A box with a small flag inside it will appear; this will not be visible to the Web page viewer.
Step6 To link to the bookmark, place the cursor right before the text or graphic you want to be the link (what the user will click to go to the bookmark).
Step7 Choose Hyperlink from the Insert menu. Click on the Open Page tab and choose the bookmark from the pull-down menu. Click OK.
Step8 Save the page when finished.
Step9 Preview the page in a Web browser by choosing Preview in Browser from the File menu. From the dialog box, choose a browser and settings to use.
Step10 Check your links before and after you upload the page to the Internet.
